The recommended daily dosage for this medication is 200 mg. Unlike most other generic versions of modafinil that are orally administered, Modafil MD is taken differently. For the best effects, place the pill between your cheeks and gum or beneath your tongue and hold till it dissolves. After that, rinse your mouth with a small amount of water and swallow. This route of administration ensures the drug works faster, as the active ingredient moves directly into the systemic circulation instead of gradually moving through the digestive system.

Note that the time to pop the pill may vary based on your purpose for taking Modafil MD. If you want to treat narcolepsy or OSA, pop the pill early in the morning, preferably as soon as you wake up. If you take it later in the day, its effects, which typically lasts for 12+ hours, may make sleep at night quite challenging.
